Hello all. So, I'm about an hour and a half away from leaving the office for the remainder of the week. That would be completely fabulous if I didn't have to work at the bar tonight. But alas, such is my life.
Anyway, after tonight, it's a little mini-vaca time with Brian and my family. My aunt and uncle have a great house down on the Cape and we're visiting with them tomorrow. Brian and I got a hotel in Falmouth and will spend an extra day down there together. It's going to be a great couple of days. Tomorrow's going to be rough because we'll be so tired but oh well.
He's meeting the extended family for the first time so I'm pretty excited about that. Haven't really felt like bringing anyone home over the last few years so it's nice to have someone I feel is worth introducing to my family. Good times.
Well, have fun whatever you are all doing this 4th of July!! Enjoy!!

Finally!!
Meet Brian. My fella.
How I was so blessed to have found him is beyond me, but I couldn't be happier that he's mine. Thankfully, he feels the same way about me.
Brief background: We'd been pining after each other for about a year, but only recently became an item. We've been going strong for two and a half months and there's no end in sight.
Reasons he's so great (in no particular order):
-He's the nicest, most thoughtful person I know.
-He knows how I like my coffee, drink of choice, and fave beverage.
-He buys me flowers and cards just because.
-He's intelligent AND funny (not a lot of guys are both).
-He's open and honest about everything.
-He makes me feel like the best girl in the room wherever we are.
-He says sweet things to me.
-He visits his grandfather on a regular basis.
-He's not afraid to call me out on things.
-He's a teacher and he's great at his job.
-Let's be honest, he's a hunk.
-Somehow, he has me believing in happily ever after.
So those are the ABC's of us. We are so happy and it's so great to be in a real relationship with someone I actually care about. I was in a rut for a while, looking for guys in all the wrong places.
Finally, I got it right.

Back on track.
After months of not paying attention to how to correctly update my blogger account, I've finally done it!! Back on track.
I can't believe I've been away for two months. Not like I've had any compaints, so I guess it's cool. Anyway, I'm going to go ahead and try to keep posting.
Just got back from a visit with one of my favorite Bloggers, the lovely miss Melati. We had a blast of a weekend and she gave me the royal treatment. Took care of me all weekend long. It was a great time and I can't thank her and Matt enough.
Started the week off in San Francisco for a four-day visit with my sister. Good times!! We did the mani-pedi thing and also drove in a Go Car, the funnest thing I've ever done. Check out the video on my MySpace page at www.myspace.com/ladyj1223
Well, that's all for now. Glad to be back!!

I've entered MySpace.
So, I’ve officially joined the MySpace world. I’m almost ashamed to admit it because I’ve been so anti-MySpace since its inception a few years back. I guess I just thought it was a place people went to try to hook up and I’m sure that’s the case with most pages. But like it or not, it really is a good way to stay in touch with people, particularly your friends.
I know people read my blog, but it’s frustrating that I get so little feedback. It seems EVERYONE is on MySpace, including many of my friends. Because of this, it just seems it might be easier to tell my stories and keep everyone posted on my life through MySpace blogs. I will still have a link to this page, hopefully generating more interest in my blog page, and will try to maintain it as best I can. But for those of you who want to continue to read about me, check out my MySpace page at: www.myspace.com/ladyj1223 I guess you have to ask to be my friend or something and if I know you, you’re in!!
This is my MySpace picture. My roommie Jill took it inside a bathroom stall at the club Mansion last Friday night. (If you saw this bathroom, you would have taken a glamour shot in there too!! The wallpaper was so cool, although, you can’t tell that from this picture!!). Anyway, there was an after-party at Mansion featuring Danity Kane, who opened up for Christina Augilera at the Garden that night. Jill, Jackie, Jackie’s sister Bobbi, and myself all attended the kick-ass show!! God damn that girl can sing!! Love her!!
Anyway, that’s it for now. Hope all is well.

St. Patty's Day Parade, I love you!
So this is me and some of the crew from the Bell on St. Patty's Day Parade Day in Southie!! After leaving my party for the day, we sauntered down to our friend Jen's. All I can say are some girls cannot hold their liquor. We get there and there's a girl passed out on the couch. Seconds later two of them are throwing blows!! My party was slightly more reserved!!
Anyway, I'm wearing a fireman's jacket because I happened to find it laying around. Tisk, tisk!! We took some pictures with it and I folded it up and waited for the guy it belonged to to look aimlessly for it. 20 minutes later he was thrilled to see me hand it over. (I guess it's like the Navy boys and their hats. They get in trouble if they lose them!!).
From here, we tried to get into the bars, but no dice. Everyone was CLOSING at 7 p.m. If that's any indication of how drunk people were. So, we hopped in a cab and went to neighboring Dorchester and "The Banshee", an Irish bar with an Irish band that was packed!! I've never done so much stomping in my life. Aparently, we all thought we could jig!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Best party guest of the day? Beth. Yup, Taylor's mom came up huge!! Not only did she come armed with beads for us to throw down at parade marchers, but she also brought flasks of Jameson and Bailey's AND McDonald's cheeseburgers!! Avoid the hangover before it happens with some McD's!! Oh, it was the best!!
NOLA, we love you!!
So now, I'm not dead. I've just been in New Orleans for the past four days. Me, Danielle, Meri, Nicole, and Nadalee took off for the Big Easy on Sunday morning and had four days of fun!!
There are far too many stories to tell for me to tell them all, but I'll try to update you through pictures. In this one, I'm kissing my Bourbon Street beads (that I purchased, not earned) while donning my very first cowgirl hat!!
This was day one of the trip, roughly three hours into it. Essentially, the trip was non-stop and when we got back home late Wednesday night, we were beat.
But we love you NOLA!! We had a blast and can't wait until we see you again!!
