To the two nice men who helped me this afternoon: Thank you so much!!

In case you are unaware, Boston is laying on a big, ridiculous sheet of ice. Everything is frozen. The water, the snow. Everything. It's been sunny, but it's so incredibly cold that nothing is melting. Essentially, to get into any parking spot on the street you have to back up over a mound of ice to get into it. I tried to do that today and failed...miserably.

So, I back into the spot but as I try to complete the second phase of my parallel parking attempt I realize I'm stuck!! I can't move forward or backward because my wheels are spinning and spinning and spinning on a sheet of ice. There's nothing I can do.

Fortunately, these two nice guys walking past me offered their assistance. One placed a couple stones under my front tire, then they both pushed. Seconds later, I was free!!

So again, thank you so much for your help. I could have been stuck there for hours had it not been for you both.

So funny! I wonder if they were the same two guys who saved me!! I hadnt drove my car since Tuesday since I now ride public transportation to work. Well, Saturday night cleared and warmed my car up to go to work, see that there is nothing blocking my way, get in my car to go and NOTHING. Not even spinning. I was frozen to the pavement!! As I am on the phone with work, two nice guys come over and push and push and push until finally I pop free and am on my way!! I was so relieved and happy and thanked them profusely!! City has nice people after all!! Have a good day!
