Doing my part to keep Trot in Boston.

On Friday night, I was at Fenway to see him play in right field for fear I would never again. You see, Christopher Trotman Nixon is a free agent at the end of the season and it's very likely, he will not be picked up again. He's played his entire professional career in Boston and doesn't wan to play anywhere else. Sure, GM Theo Epstein and Co. could offer him the hometown discount and Trot would take it, but there's a good chance he could get Bronsoned!!

Anyway, I spent my Wednesday night carefully crafting this sign and made it my mission Friday night at the game for him to see it!! Well, in the ninth inning, he finally did. And when the last out was recorded, he gave me a wave in appreciation.

I'll miss you Trot, the original Dirt Dog. Thanks for all your blood, sweat, and tears over the last 13 years. I hope the Baseball Gods find it in them to let you stay, but if not, I wish you nothing but the best for the future.

Keep your fingers crossed!

What a great picture, Jules. I hope he stays too. I love Trot too. I am praying!

I have no idea what that sign means.

None.

And I stared at it for like 10 minutes.
